Description
This bright blue seaglass is always a popular colour of Cornish Seaglass. This ring has been hand-shaped and the band has a round hammered finish which bounces the light around to give a sparkly effect. The seaglass size is approximately 9mm wide and 9mm high.
The sea glass in this ring was beach-combed at Greenbank in Falmouth. This small beach is accessible at low tide, nestled between Greenbank Hotel and the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club. Behind the beach is an impressive terrace of large houses, many of which were built as houses for Packet Captains relating to the movement of Packet Ships for news and information. At the southern end of the terrace was the old Falmouth Prison. Many interesting finds can be uncovered here including numerous old clay pipes and pottery.
Cobalt blue seaglass was originally used for bottling medicines and is frequently found in harbours. You can read more about seaglass colours here.
Porth seaglass rings are gift packaged in a grey card box, sealed with a turquoise strip and a Porth logo sticker. Each seaglass ring comes with special map card showing its provenance – unique to Porth jewellery and perfect for that special touch. A care guide is also included.
Unfortunately the ring size cannot be changed. If you would like a similar ring made in this colour then please get in contact to discuss the design.
