Description
Green seaglass beautifully shaped by the ocean and set in silver to form a pendant. This Cornish seaglass was beach combed on Polgwidden Cove (Trebah Beach) on the Helford River. The seaglass measures approximately 14mm tall and 14mm wide. The colour is really shown off in direct sunlight where it glows a bright green, in low-light is is deeper.
Trebah beach, known as Polgwidden Cove, can only be accessed through the gardens which are a tropical paradise featuring a steam, ponds, bamboo walkways and forests of tree ferns. The beach was used by the 29th US Infantry Division as an embarkation point for D-Day on their way to Omaha Beach. A memorial overlooking the beach commemorates these soldiers. Today, the beach is a calm, sheltered spot to watch the water, have an ice cream and relax.
This pendant measures approximately 14mm high and 12mm wide and can be hung on a 16″/18″ or 20″ chain. If you are unsure of which chain size you’d like, here is a useful guide.
