Description
A very unusual and unique piece of pink Cornish seaglass. The piece has been carved into a droplet shape and is set in silver. It was found within Falmouth Bay.
Pink seaglass is very old, used for perfume bottles and vases. The glass is in fact clear with a red/pink layer painted onto one side as the pigment was very expensive. This piece shows the process wonderfully as the seaglass appears clear around the base of the droplet where the pink has been worn away.
This piece is available on a range of chain lengths. If you are unsure what each length looks like, please read about chain lengths in the FAQ’s. Longer chains are priced slightly differently – these are shown when changing the chain length option.
All Porth seaglass necklaces are beautifully packaged in a grey box, sealed with a turquoise strip. Each seaglass piece of jewellery also comes with a small card showing where it was beach-combed for provenance. Perfect for a special gift.
