Description
A rare colour, this hand-carved seagreen seaglass pendant is a beauty! The seaglass was beach combed on Greenbank Beach, Falmouth. The Cornish seaglass has a delicate texture formed by the motion of the tides and features a boho design with recycled silver balls and carefully shaped silver attachment to the chain. The seaglass measures approximately 14 x 10 mm with the overall pendant measuring 22 x 10 mm.
The sea glass in this pendant was beach-combed at Greenbank in Falmouth. This small beach is accessible at low tide, nestled between Greenbank Hotel and the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club. Behind the beach is an impressive terrace of large houses, many of which were built as houses for Packet Captains relating to the movement of Packet Ships for news and information. At the southern end of the terrace was the old Falmouth Prison. Many interesting finds can be uncovered here including numerous old clay pipes and pottery.
This piece is available on a range of chain lengths. If you are unsure please read about chain lengths in the FAQ’s. Longer chains are priced slightly differently – these are shown when changing the chain length in the chain length option.
All Porth seaglass necklaces are beautifully packaged in a grey box with the Porth logo printed in turquoise. Each piece of jewellery also comes with a care sheet and a small map showing where it was beach-combed for provenance. Perfect for a special gift.
