Description
Have a pocketful of shells you would like to learn how to turn in to silver clay shells and make in to jewellery? Join me for a day workshop making our own moulds. We will use silver clay to form the shells in the moulds and then dry and hand-fire the pieces before making them in to silver clay shell jewellery.
In this workshop you will learn how to make a mould from your favourite shell (or other small object such as a sycamore seed). You will then use this mould to form a silver version using silver clay. You will be taught how to handle silver clay for best effects and how to dry and hand-fire the piece(s) -no kiln needed to carry on with this at home! We will then use your silver shells to make jewellery.
This workshop is designed to give you all of the information and skills to be able to carry on with silver clay at home without a kiln. An information sheet is provided to refer back to.

10g silver clay (I can make 12 small cowries from this if I am careful)
